I'm officially 28 years old now! (oh gosh) My birthday was last weekend (on the 8th) and it was a very chill, quiet birthday, which was ok by me. As I get older it seems like birthdays aren't as fun as they were when I was a kid. It's def harder making and keeping friends as a disabled and neurodivergent adult.

One thing I was super happy about is that I finally got my hands on Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom! (late to the party but, I promised myself I'd wait till my birthday) I feel like everyone has one (or two) Nintendo series that they claim as "theirs". Zelda is one of mine*. I've never been good at the combat bits (i.e. boss battles) though and the Zelda games I've played and beaten in the past were with the help of my younger cousin taking the controller for those parts

So obviously I was very happy when they announced a Zelda game (with Zelda as the main character!) that was more focused on puzzles than combat. And any combat that there is is more summoning monsters to fight long range and thinking of creative solutions in battle. Which is VERY much my style (as someone who would fire bombs and arrows into the goblin camps in BOTW instead of dealing with them directly 😂) And the chibi art style is super cute too.

I've been enjoying it a lot so far and kinda been hyperfixated on it(?) Although today I'm trying to be good and work on other projects today (as I write a blog post about it lol) idk I'm just so happy that there's a Zelda game I can play without having quick reflexes and speed and being good at real time action combat for once.

*in case you were wondering, the other one is Animal Crossing
